1. Definitions
Ridgefield Security Estate NPC (“the Non-Profit Company”) refers to the registered
residents’ association established to implement voluntary access-monitored security measures.
2. Voluntary Participation
Membership and participation in the access-monitored security measures are entirely voluntary.
3. Purpose
The purpose of the Non-Profit Company is to coordinate lawful access monitoring and
community-based safety initiatives in accordance with applicable legislation.
4. Membership
By applying for membership, the owner or lawful occupier agrees to comply with all rules,
policies, and procedures adopted by the Non-Profit Company.
5. Contributions
Members agree to pay monthly contributions as determined and approved by the Non-Profit Company.
6. Payment Administration
Payment administration may be handled by an appointed managing agent or service provider
acting on behalf of the Non-Profit Company.
7. Default
Failure to pay contributions may result in recovery of reasonable costs incurred in enforcing this agreement.
8. Rules and Cooperation
Members shall cooperate with the association, service providers, and lawful authorities.
9. Special Contributions
Special contributions may arise subject to approval in accordance with governance procedures.
10. Power of Attorney
Members grant limited authority to the Non-Profit Company and its appointed agents to act
on their behalf solely for purposes required to implement approved access-monitored measures.
11. Notices and Domicilium
Members nominate the address of the property as their domicilium citandi et executandi
unless otherwise notified in writing.
12. Electronic Communication
Members consent to electronic communication in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act.
13. Termination
Either party may terminate membership by providing one full calendar month’s written notice.
14. Amendments
No amendment shall be valid unless reduced to writing and approved in accordance with the governance rules.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
16. Voluntary Acknowledgement
The member acknowledges that membership is entered into freely and voluntarily.
