Pensioner discount
Existing RSE members may apply for the 30% pensioner contribution discount where the property owner has been approved for the City of Tshwane pensioner rebate on property rates. To request the RSE discount, please send a recent municipal account or official City of Tshwane approval confirmation to the RSE office.
What your municipal account must show
- Your name as the registered property owner
- The stand / erf number or property address within Ridgefield
- A recent statement date, normally not older than 3 months
- The City of Tshwane pensioner rebate or pensioner-related reduction applied to the property rates
Why we need it
- To confirm that the City of Tshwane pensioner rebate has been approved
- To verify the registered property owner
- To confirm the property falls within the RSE area
- To apply the discounted RSE contribution consistently and fairly
You may first need to apply directly to the City of Tshwane for its pensioner rebate on property rates. The City generally requires the applicant to be 60 years or older, be the registered owner of the property, live at the property, meet the applicable household income requirements, and provide the required supporting documents, including identification and proof of income.
Once approved, you can send RSE either the City of Tshwane approval confirmation or a recent municipal account showing that the pensioner rebate has been applied.
Temporary concession agreement
Existing RSE members experiencing temporary financial difficulty may apply for a concession. This is separate from the pensioner discount and is considered case-by-case.
How it works
- Download and complete the concession application form
- Provide a brief reason for the request
- Specify the requested period, up to a maximum of 6 months
- Sign the form and send it to the RSE office for review
Why the form is required
- To keep temporary relief requests properly recorded
- To ensure the requested amount and period are clear
- To allow the office to review and approve requests consistently
For cancellations, please email the office directly
The easiest process for now is to send a direct email so the request can be reviewed and handled properly.
